It's
a great summer at Wilkestone Gallery! Our fresh new exhibit "Abstraction",
is a huge hit, and is on display NOW through August 4th. We have late shopping hours and sales planned for Downtown
North Wilkesboro's 4th of July Fireworks Celebration, and for the following weekend's
classic car "Cruise In" July 11th. On Thursday, July 23rd, the second
show in Downtown's Concert Series... "Rock the Night" brings more evening fun into
the Arts District at Apple Festival Park. Again, Wilkestone Gallery will be open late, so come by and shop with
us! And our first Art's District "Gallery Crawl" was such a success, we can't wait
to see how you'll respond to the next one August 7th! Again we'll join with Wilkes Art Gallery and "The
Easel" for 3 great new exhibits, and an added surprise --- Details coming soon!
Our brand new "Abstraction" exhibit (showing now) features works
from North Carolina artists Gil Croy, Tonya Bottomley, Harold Humphrey, Eric Dahlager, Janet Telander, Ronnie Carruthers,
and Gilda Aita. "This show is hip and very exciting. It's all about the artists' perceived sense of depth and motion
in landscapes as well as the inner condition," explains gallery director Dan Butner. Wilkestone co-owner
and manager John Eric adds "Oil on canvas, mixed-media, monoprints, sculptures, pottery, and ziagraph and gum-oil process
photographs comprise the abstract art exhibit that is quite different from anything we've featured before, and we are excited
to have such outstanding pieces on display and for sale to our customers".

Wilkestone Gallery is located at 315 10th Street in Historic Downtown North Wilkesboro, North Carolina,
and features remarkable works from numerous artists in various media including photography, pottery, sculpture and jewelry,
